  • With Customers: A Vendor’s business name and necessary contact/shipping information is shared with the Customer who purchases their products.
  • With Payment Processors: We share transaction details with JazzCash, Easypaisa, and card processors to complete payments. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

b) Legal & Safety Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (like a merger or acquisition).

c) Service Providers: We use trusted third parties for hosting, analytics, marketing, and customer support. They are contractually bound to protect your data.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to enhance user experience, analyze site traffic, and for security purposes.

Comments Cookies: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Login Cookies: If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

You can control cookie settings through your browser.

5. Embedded Content

Articles or product descriptions on our site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law (e.g., for tax, accounting, or dispute resolution purposes).

  • Account Information: Retained while your account is active. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
  • Transaction Data: Retained for a minimum period as required by financial regulations.
  • Comments/Reviews: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

7. Your Data Rights

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To exercise these rights, contact us at help@ptmofficial.com.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

10. Payment Processing & Financial Terms

a) Accepted Methods: We facilitate payments through JazzCash, Easypaisa, and major Credit/Debit Cards via secure third-party gateways.

b) Payment Reversals & Refunds (Chargebacks):

  • Customer Responsibility: Customers must contact the Vendor first to resolve any issue before initiating a payment reversal/chargeback with their bank or payment service.
  • Process for Chargebacks: If a bank/payment processor reverses a payment (“chargeback”) due to a dispute initiated by a Customer, the following process applies:
    1. Investigation: PTM: Pakistan Trade Mart will investigate the claim, reviewing order details, tracking information, and communication logs between Customer and Vendor.
    2. Vendor Liability: The Vendor is primarily liable for the refund amount if the chargeback is deemed valid (e.g., item not received, significantly not as described). The disputed amount, plus any processing fees imposed by the payment gateway or bank, will be deducted from the Vendor’s pending balance or future sales.
    3. Safest Refund Method: If a refund is owed, the safest and mandated method is for the refund to be processed back through the original payment channel (e.g., to the same JazzCash number or card). This provides a clear audit trail. Refunds via cash or alternative methods are strongly discouraged and not the responsibility of PTM: Pakistan Trade Mart.
    4. Fraudulent Chargebacks: If PTM determines a chargeback is fraudulent or invalid, we will contest it with the payment provider on behalf of the Vendor. However, final decisions rest with the payment provider/bank.

c) Order Cancellation & Reversal Policy:

  • Pre-Shipment: Customers may request cancellation from the Vendor. If approved, a full refund will be issued via the original payment method.
  • Post-Shipment: Once an order is shipped, cancellations are at the Vendor’s discretion. Return policies are set by individual Vendors and must be clearly stated on their store pages.
  • Platform-Initiated Reversal: PTM: Pakistan Trade Mart may cancel an order and initiate a refund in cases of fraud, policy violation, or if a product listing is deemed illegitimate.

11. Vendor-Specific Responsibilities

  • Vendors are independent data controllers for the customer data they receive to fulfill orders. They must comply with applicable data protection laws and must not use customer data for marketing or any purpose beyond order fulfillment without explicit customer consent.
  • Vendors are responsible for their own product listings, return/refund policies (which must be fair and clearly stated), and customer service.
  • Vendors must comply with all applicable Pakistani trade and commerce regulations.

12. Media Uploads

If you upload images to the website (e.g., in product listings or reviews), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new policy on the site and updating the “Last Updated” date.
